Carpenders Park is located between Hatch End (to the south) and Bushy (to the north) stations. Silverlink DC services between Euston and Watford Jn serve an island platform from where the 4 WCML tracks run parallel to the east.

Due to upgrading of parts of the WCML on Saturdays (only), from 2 April - 11 June 2005 Virgin's Euston-B'ham-Wolverhampton services are to be dragged north of Nuneaton and back, with one drag per hour. <br> Captions to follow.

The EWS Manager's train is becoming a frequent sight across the rail network lately. I have had the opporunity to photograph it when it is closer to home and some of these are now in this collection.

Goodmayes is located on the Great Eastern mainline between Seven Kings (to the south) and Chadwell Heath (to the north). The station itself affords long platforms and the vantage point here is in the centre of the Island platform at the north end of the station.

Headstone lane is located between Harrow & Wealdstone (to the south) and Hatch End (to the north) stations. As well as the station itself, a footbridge located approx 6 to 8 mins walk north of the station which affords excellent north and southbound views of the WCML. There are a few overhead line masts to contend with, however, they certainly do not spoil this location photographically.

Trimley is on the Ipswich-Felixstowe brand line and is where I usually head for freight and mainly liners in and out of Felixstowe Docks. There is an hourly passenger service and a dedicated North and South branch off from the line down to the Docks which is freight only. Aside from the station itself, about ½ mile pleasant walk from the station is an excellent rural track crossing where some good 'American' line side shots can be afforded.

Ipswich is another regular place where I find myself every six weeks or so, usually on a Saturday. A busy station with all passenger trains stopping. To the North West connections to Cambridge and Peterborough can be made and to the North East, express services terminate at Norwich and local services to Felixstowe and Lowestoft. To the south, express and 'stopping' services can be made to Colchester and ontwards London. Passing freight usually has started or terminates at Felixstowe / Ipswich. To the west of the station is a reasonably-sized stabling point where locomotives re-fuel and pause for crew changes

A rather good WCML location that I took to in the latter part of 2004. Rugby is a major station at the junction of the two routes to Stafford (via Birmingham and via the Trent Valley) in addition the Birmingham-Coventry line. To the South (London bound), the main line and freight lines split towards Northampton.

A variety of passenger and freight workings can be photographed from various vantage points, and now a regular visitor to Rugby, this collection will get extensive and will be split into quarters as the year progresses.

December's miscellaneous shots that don't fit into a collecton

Living in Barking provides easy access to the North London line which joins together with my local service that runs to Gospel Oak. A variety of freight movements pass through this line, as well as leave and join at various junctions. Passenger services are provided by Silverlink 'Metro' with 313 units running between North Woolwich and Richmond, and DMU's 150/1 between Gospel Oak and Barking.

An ongoing collection to represent Dagenham Dock, which is very near to where I live in Barking. This is an area that is changing rapidly at present with the construction of the Channel Tunnel Rail Link (CTRL). As this collection has been started in the winter months, I hope to take some better varied pictures from the spring onwards to incorpoate some of the liners and other freight that can often be seen passing through.

As a regular visitor to Rugby, this collection will get fairly extensive. All photographs to end of 2004 are in this collection.
